Essential Beach Chill Out takes artists better known for big-room melodic dance music and gives their tracks a laid-back, beach-ready makeover. It’s 20 tracks of soaring melodies at a gentler pace, and it’s become a daytime favourite on the station.
Highlights
Tritonal appears twice, with “Love U Right” (Attom Remix, featuring Lourdiz) and the lovely “Painting With Dreams” with Shy Martin. Audien’s “The Reach” in Steve Brian’s Ocean Influence Mix is exactly as breezy as it sounds. Also look out for Noise Zoo’s “Spectre” (Chill Out Mix), Solid Stone’s “Hurricane” with Arielle Maren, and Alex Wright’s “Treetop Lullaby”.
Why it works
These are big melodies that don’t need a big volume. It’s perfect for the long, bright hours of our Island Daytime block.
